“A Taste of BASE”
The First Jump Course is a structured introduction to BASE jumping for those who want to understand the sport properly — before committing to full training.
This course is not about rushing progression or collecting jumps. It is about education, awareness, and controlled exposure.
You'll be introduced to slider-down BASE jumping through a carefully paced mix of:
- • Classroom education
- • Practical training
- • Supervised jumps
The course is intentionally limited in scope and runs at a slower, controlled pace. All equipment is provided, allowing you to focus entirely on learning correct technique and decision-making.

By the end of the course, you will have:
- A solid theoretical understanding of slider-down BASE
- Practical experience under direct instructor supervision
- Up to 10 BASE jumps
- A clear understanding of what is required to continue safely
This course is ideal if you want a genuine introduction to BASE jumping before committing to full training.
What Can You Expect?
The First Jump Course is a four-day introduction designed for those considering BASE jumping or unsure whether it's the right path.
The focus is education, awareness, and controlled experience. You'll learn the foundations of BASE jumping and gain supervised slider-down experience from bridge objects.
After completion, students wishing to progress are strongly encouraged to continue onto The BASE Course, where long-term development and advanced progression are taught across Europe.
All LTBJ students are welcome to return and sit in on any course they have previously taken — for life, at no additional cost.
